CERC asks the President for support: More EU grants for RAS in Central Europe!

The Central European RAS Chamber, z. s. (CERC) is actively advocating for the strengthening of the position of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) in the Czech Republic and the entire region. As part of this effort, CERC recently addressed a letter to the President of the Republic, requesting political support for financing RAS projects from European funds.

The aim of the letter is to emphasize the strategic importance of RAS farms for food self-sufficiency, sustainable development and innovation in aquaculture. Specifically, CERC is striving for an effort to be made within the Czech Republic to redirect a larger percentage of the allocated EU grants intended for the development of fish farming towards the Central European region, where the potential for the development of RAS is significant. Obtaining the political support of the head of state is crucial for increasing competitiveness and accelerating investments in this key technology.
