RAS Expert Exchange Program
The program serves as a targeted exchange of best practices and know-how between Chamber members and world-class RAS operations. It allows Chamber members to send their key employees on short-term professional internships to operations with high expertise, thus gaining practical knowledge that cannot be acquired through theoretical means.
Key offer for Chamber members:
Targeted internships: Organization of individually tailored internships for technical managers, technologists and specialists in areas requested by the member (e.g. optimization of biofiltration, energy efficiency, breeding of a specific fish species).
Direct knowledge transfer: Acquisition of practical skills of established procedures that lead to more efficient and sustainable operation of RAS farms.
General conditions for securing an internship:
Contribution to costs: The member sending the internship covers the travel and accommodation costs of the intern. The CERC Chamber provides organizational, contractual and coordination services (arranging visas, communication with the host RAS farm, setting the content of the internship).
Knowledge exchange: The intern must be prepared not only to receive, but also to share basic best practices from their own operation (to the extent that does not violate trade secrets according to the Code of Ethics).
Verified locations: Internships are organized exclusively in verified operations in locations with a proven tradition and expertise in RAS, including:
Asian center: China, Kazakhstan (technological and volume know-how).
Nordic center: Sweden (RAS pioneers, sustainability, salmonid farming).
Regional operations: Poland and newly opened progressive RAS farms within the Central European region.
